legendary Wien...

...Today I fell great....I'm just thinking about that one day I visit Wien(Beč), which is the capital Austrija.Grad lies on the banks of the Danube, 40 km from the border with Slovakia and the Slovak capital Bratislava. It has about 1.6 million inhabitants (one fifth of the population of Austria).

Wien has long been a global scale has become a favorite tourist destination, largely thanks to the numerous lavish historical and cultural monuments from the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.


Inviting sight that most tourists is definitely the Cathedral of St. Stepan.Its current Romanesque and Gothic form seen today, situated at the heart of Wien, Austria in the Stephansplatz, was largely Initiated by Rudolf IV and stands on the ruins of two earlier churches, the first being a parish church consecrated in the 1147th.

After the cathedral, I will continue to write about a very important building which is still in operation. It is the University of Wien. Wien University was founded in the 12th March 1365. On it were educated many students from different countries.
